True Worship

A lot of songs might be confession, intercession or prayer, but they are not worship. Worship is when our focus is completely fixed on Him! The closer you get to the throne, in the bible, the more God-focussed the songs become. In the end it’s just Holy, holy, holy!

In our gathered times, it is good to sing songs of confession, and songs of faith, but that doesn’t make it a “worship time” – conciously take time to actually worship God, and watch the marked difference in the congregation. True worship does something no other song can do!

I have never seen God’s glory pour upon a congregation as we sing about ourselves! But I have seen His glory and presence flood rooms for hours, with miracles and signs following, when we forget about ourselves, and get lost in the wonder of who He is!
