Crunchies (coconut flapjacks)

1 1/2 C flour
2C oats
2C coconut
1 level tsp soda bicarbonate
2 1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 C demerara
200g salted butter
3Tbsp golden syrup or treacle
pinch salt
2 1/2 tsp mixed spice
1. Put dry ingredients into a basin
2. Boil butter, sugar and syrup in a pot until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Add to the dry ingredients and stir well until mixed to a stiff crumbly dough. 
4. Spread onto a tin and press down. 
5. Bake 180C about 15 min until golden.
6. Remove from oven and cut into rectangles, then cool in tin before removing.
